Not really. KU was a bad team last year. Rutgers is a bad team this year. Maryland is a bad team this year. Every year there are those "woe is me, we just can't catch a break" teams that hover around .500 and hover around winning something meaningful. But they can't do it.

True, we are not epically bad (ala KU), we are sort of bad (might squeak into a bowl game bad). I just used KU et al to refute the fact that bad teams don't lose close games to good teams.

We're an okay team and we played very well considering TCU is ranked #2 and a pretty good team. TCU has the athleticism and talent that KSU lacks and KSU matched that with 2* players. I'd say, in the end, this game went exceptionally well, seeing the Cats were big-point underdogs, even at home. Not to mention, our team is plagued with key injuries. In the end, though, the amount of talent that TCU brings will beat out 5* heart effort.

At the end of the game, our defense was exhausted, our offense was predictable, and Boykin put on a magic show. Give KSU the respect that they deserve and stop living in your weird fantasy world where KSU was expected to win the natty this year.

1:16 left in the second half -> let them drive 60 yards for a FG

OSU:
4:37 left in the first half -> let them drive 83 yards for a TD
3:01 left in the second half -> let them drive 45 yards for a FG

TCU:
1:28 left in the second half -> let them drive 64 yards for the TD and 2 pt conversion

gave up 21 pts in the 4th quarter of a game when we were up by 4.

We were 9 pt dogs and basically lucky Gary didn't decide to score a TD on their last possession. But hey we only lost by 7 even though we led by 18 at the half! Hooray!

TCU did't drive for 64 yards. It was a big play from Boykin, who seemed to be summoning dark magic all game. I think you just have to respect him as a player, he's very talented.

God I wish I could be like this. But when I witness a game we should have won but didn't, I'm upset. Quit making TCU out as something magical. They have a great QB and receiver. They appear to have a lot holes. Their offensive line isn't that great. Their linebackers are undersized and their D-backs have to hold constantly to stop slow receivers. All in all, a very beatable team.

no one expected a natty. the frustration is that we had big leads, back to back weeks, and pissed down our legs with terrible D, terrible play calling, and being conservative to a fault

i'm not arguing Boykin is a great player. He's great. He's awesome. That's why I wanted to keep the ball out of his hands by running the ball, or going for it on 4th at the end.

1. We weren't going to win without controling the 2nd half clock, and the run was working. Run.
2. We weren't going to win giving the ball back to TCU tied. Go for it on 4th.

, we should beat KU and (maybe) ISU and WVU.
I hope we can beat Tech and Texas, but wouldn't count on it.

A team with minimal talent has a razor thin margin of error, and we have shown for three games in a row that we can't take advantage of opportunities. I am not going to sugar coat this as us being unlucky. We have been very lucky in fact, its been our ineptitude to not cash in the lottery tickets we have been given. Moral victories can exist, but the last have not been examples of them.
