There is no guarantee he gets the medical redshirt, he did play in two games. Based on the way this program is run could easily see Hub as QB next season and Delton sitting.

When they apply for the hardship he'll get it, he's way below the maximum threshold of time you're allowed to play. They may not even apply this year, they don't have to.

Interesting point, and they probably won't now that you mention it. It's conceivable that Delton may take a redshirt year before his senior year, in which case a medical redshirt would be moot.

(Need backup from someone who actually knows anything about redshirts)

IIRC you can't apply for a medical redshirt until all regular eligibility is exhausted.

I am totally being pessimistic, but I am getting this nagging feeling that Delton will never be the starting QB at K-State.

If Snyder stays he won't be. They're going to play the experience factor and give the start to Huebner next year and then Delton is gonna transfer out, which I hope he does if that's the case.

I just cannot even imagine how I would react if Huebner is our starting QB next season.  I am almost certain it would involve an airplane banner and I don't really want to go down that road.

He's saying for Delton's sake he hope he transfers if he gets put behind Huebner on the depth chart again and I agree with him.

I was always under the impression that you CANNOT apply until your eligibility is otherwise exhausted.

Every indication I've heard is that Delton is well liked by the coaching staff and will have every opportunity to win the job next fall. In fact, if he hadn't been injured I bet he would have started a game by now.

I think he would've been the starter since Texas.

True KSU fans do not encourage athletes to leave the program.  This leads to a crappier product on the field.

As long as we get to keep feeding Winston Dimel the ball, 'specially inside the 5, then I'm fine with absolutely every decision Del makes.

EVERY SINGLE ONE.
