Wish he would of endorsed Rubio.  This guy can inspire.  He is the answer to old gummed democrats running.
He endorsed literally every candidate that isn't Trump.

Rubio is inspirational.  I get a bigger thrill taking a monster movement than I get from other candidates.   Trump speaks about optimism, but only fosters guttural anger.

This seems to be what a whole lot of the far right want, though.  Complain, get angry, have no real workable ideas.

I think "a whole lot" is a misnomer. What does he have? 30% support in the poles? So he has some support, but not a whole lot of it.

Its been two weeks or so, and I have posted this back then, but he was listed as the first or second choice of the majority of pubs polled.  Also, won 44% in a hypothetical poll btwn bush, himself, and carson.

I get the idea of a vocal minority.  It seems like this is more than that.

probably more than 30% near the poles, but i imagine support thins out closer to the center.

NPR interviewed Rubio about Russia's relationship with Assad and made Rubio some really great points.

I have also heard murmurs that establishment support is moving from Jeb to Marco's camp.

Rubio seems to be on a very good trajectory. He's going to shine at every debate - only Fiorina, Christie, and Cruz come close and even they aren't really in the same league. More importantly, he's doing decent with fundraising and is just now starting to build his ground game in the early primary states.

The more dead wood that gets cleared from the field, the stronger Rubio is going to burn. Jeb! folding in the next few months would be a bonanza for Rubio in terms of donor support. Still not sure that's going to happen, but there are reportedly rumblings that Jeb! is on the verge of risking donor defections due to his anemic polling.

Not really. Candidates typically run more towards their base in the primary and try to tack a bit more to the center in the general. That's hardly a "paradox," or limited to the GOP. The Dems have an even tougher task than the GOP this year with Bernie Sanders - a socialist - currently topping some polls and Clinton imploding.

Moreover, Romney 2012 kinda disproves your point, doesn't it? Romney won the primary as the more moderate candidate - then lost the general because the conservative base stayed home.

And I would say that Rubio is the most likely to secure the nomination.

The conservative base staying home is probably the most ridiculous thing that has happened on voting for a while.  Giving up on a guy that isn't 100% your guy to all but ensure the guy who wins is an even smaller % your guy.

And yet, it happened. And will almost certainly happen again in 2016 unless these candidates shape up. And I include Rubio on that list. Rubio's only signficant weakness is the Gang of Eight immigration fiasco. Ironically, I don't think this is going to keep him from the nomination, but it will cost him the general unless he takes a harder line stance.

Liberals and "moderates" will scoff at this, but I'm right. Not only will a hardline, enforcement first immigration policy not hurt the GOP, I think it will actually help them in heavy union/manufacturing states like Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

I like rubio as a person, but he looks way in over his head in the debates and talks in constant robotic compassion voice. He should fix that instead of bowing to the nutters like ksuw
