That's not good, for the team anyway; great for Justin I guess.
Yeah, I posted that for you, mainly. I found it interesting.
I am, and have been, a huge fan of his since he first arrived.  He showed flashes last year, and that made me excited for this year with him and Wes kind of leading the charge.

he's much better this year w/ the new no-contact foul rules because he can get to the rim and he's a good FT shooter.  he's not a good enough shooter to live on the perimeter.

That works out.  It wasn't feasible to get a 'cut in this window anyway.  Will have better opportunities in advance of Saturday's game, although I'm 30-70 on watching that one.  Either way, I'll tweet you the list of talking points as soon as I get out of the chair.

I'm just hoping my 6:00 meeting is over in time to get home and watch most of it.

Did everyone croak?   We will have 5 double scorers today.  I more excited about this team than any in the last 5 years.  We are 7 and 1 and damn good.

What a ridiculous thing to look at right now.

That said this team is much better than I anticipated (even with the 2 losses) and I enjoy watching them play. Much more enjoyable than last year's trainwreck of a season.

If that makes me a tuck, whatever.

Claws played like he was going to crap his shorts.  We missed his points.  It is my imagination or not that the offense flows better with Claws due to his passing.   I still think it is a mistake not playing xWhomper.  We could have used some good whomping on am center.

He is still recovering from his injury. oscar said he's decide by the end of December if he'll play this season or redshirt.

I assume they want to see what progress he makes during break with the added practice time. I don't think not playing has cost us a game yet, so it is fair. A good question would be what is WaHH (wins above hot horndogs), how many more games would he help us win. I am generally against redshirting in college basketball tho.

I'll be tracking the NIT bracketology, and I am officially predicting we are in.

I did think we would drop a game or two against a mid major in the non con and it looks like that won't happen but this team, to me, has a strong Wooly feel to it.

A Wooly team almost certainly loses at Georgia.

I mean, this was probably Wooly's best OOC win outside of Manhattan:

I mean he only played 4 high major road games so who knows. That Georgia game is akin to Wooly winning at 2000's Mizzou or Tech.

Also the win at WSU the last time we played there was a bigger win than the Wyoming win IMO.

totally agree with mir. we may be better than predicted but we're still gonna finish the ooc with 0 wins over tourney teams and have a 7-11 type confy season with a bunch of "respectable" losses. it's nothing to get the feels over.

Wooly's best conference winning percentage was .375. Last year's conference winning percentage was .444.

Last year we went 4-2 against the best 3 teams in the conference, I'll bet everything I got we won't do that this year. For the gigantic pain in the ass last year's team was they did have a bonafied "put the ball in my hand" closer last year, we don't have that anymore and that's going to be problematic against good teams that have that guy or guys.

this is true - we don't have a clutch playmaker.  we're clearly not in the top 3rd.  But, based on what I've seen so far, we're also not in the bottom 3rd with Tech, TCU, and OSU.  If we can compete with the middle of the pack, I like our chances of .500 in conference.  which isn't great - but a hell of a lot better than I thought we'd be.
