You just know OU is going to crap the bed and make this all moot. Of course OSU had to lose to Baylor already.

Hopefully mayfield isn't full on zombie brained and can beat OSU.  They might be good to enough to win the whole thing if he is healthy.

That's fine. They have positioned themselves with a "win and you're in" situation tho.

IMO, the biggest difference between the three 1 loss Big 12 teams is OU beat a good SEC team on the road. Quality wins appear to matter much more than suspect losses. It's the same approach the basketball committee has had for years...

They still seem wildly inconsistent to me. How is Oklahoma State outside of the top 10? Why the hell is Stanford inside of the top 10 higher than OSU and Michigan? It seems like they're setting OU up; Notre Dame and the Big 10 champ will both have "better wins" than OU to finish the season.

The committee has preached all along that conference championships matter and serve as a tie breaker if all other metrics are relatively equal. That verbiage creates a HUGE gray area if it comes to ND and OU both being 11-1, but it also seems to fit this situation. OU is in with a win.

ND would get the benefit of the doubt because of stupid ND bias

this. though the "better" wins will be marginally better (@ #11 vs. @ #9, and when you consider that the Big 12 has 3 teams in the top 15 vs. the pac 12 having just 1, what kind of win is that #9 vs that #11?). i have no idea what criteria this committee uses.

Tell me more, grandpa. ND getting destroyed in the '12 NCG ended that old way of thinking.

Would you eat your shoe if a 11-1 OU gets in over 11-1 ND?

I just noticed the committee just snuck Ole Miss back in there and they jumped them all the way up to 18 after beating an unranked team. LOL, these people have no rough ridin' clue.

Are all you guys forgetting how they pushed TCU out in the final week last year? It's going to happen again to the Big 12. I will bet anything on it!

I have a pretty good "feel" for this college football season and would take time to volunteer on this committee.
