I wouldn't call Ertz a pussy, but I will say confidently that he has peaked and isn't a guy who can take over games like elite quarterbacks.

You might be right but, he absolutely took over the Texas Bowl. He was awesome against OSU then Dana Dana'd up that fourth quarter. I do think he and the entire offense, get handcuffed when Dana gets tight and risk averse. When Mike and Ell were QBs the offense took many more chances and never tightened up. Ell was allowed to make mistakes and he made plenty of them. We all love Ell but his dog poo games gets completely glossed over, people treat him like Mike and he wasn't that.
The game against UT will be remembered as the game that Vince Young took over but Ell had an absolutely horror of a game that should look real familiar. 5-18, 89 yards, 2 INTs, 0 TDs, 17 rushes, 87 yards, 2 TDs; third game, senior year. That was his 32nd game as a QB, the Vandy game was Sisco's 16th where he had any significant playing time. Ell's 16th start with significant playing time was a home loss to UT, 17-14. 7-18, 102 yards, 1 TD, 26 rushes for 23 yes 23 yards; that's a horrific stat line.
Sidenote, since play calling is a significant topic right now; I have no idea who the OC was in 2002 but this game where Ell had 26 rushes for 23 yards, Darren only had 20 rushes for a mere 136 yards. What the hell were the coaches doing that game?
