My buddy had come to Lawrence to watch the NCAA tourney with me, this was Mike and Bill's year and it was the first round against USC. We settled in at Papa Keno's to grab a slice before the game and we're sitting in the very farthest corner booth in the back of the restaurant and I see my old assistant baseball coach walk in to the joint. He didn't stop and get any pizza, he just looked around the place like he was trying to find somebody. He sees me and my buddy in the back booth and comes up to me and asks if we want to go to the NCAA tourney, this is about five hours before the game, so I ask him how much? He says free and hands me and my buddy two free tickets to see Bill Walker square off against OJ Mayo. I thanked him profusely and then hopped in my car and drove to Omaha to watch one of the more enjoyable games I've ever seen in person.

mint chocolate chip ice cream

Hard to argue with this.

Related: Blue Bell having to shut down operations, thus eliminating their mint chocolate chip ice cream bars, was the worst thing that has ever happened to me.

Went to a party my sophomore year with a girl I met (and eventually dated for a while). One of them was turning 21 at midnight so they were having a big bash. Ended up meeting my 10 closest friends that night. It's kinda funny how you walk into an apartment full of strangers and 11 years later you are best buds with all of them.

My first week of college, I was walking around with a few girls I went to HS with, because I didn't know anyone yet. One of the guys kept hitting on one of my close friends and I was like: "Who the eff is this dingle berry?!" He was thinking the same thing as well. Next thing you know, he brought up college football on PlayStation and I challenged him. We left the girls and the next thing you know I found my group in college. We go to one away game, one home game, and to a bowl game together every year. All my boys are scattered a crossed the country.

Great things happen to me daily.  I'm a lucky sob. Couldn't narrow any event down to the best ever.  Just grateful for everything I have and everyone I care about.

Getting down on one knee to ask the love of my life to spend the rest of her life with me. She said yes..and when I looked back at the trail I had placed memorable stuff from our past on, I saw random people looking at the stuff and touching it. Fun times. Great question bones129, hope all is well with you.
