I helped my father-in-law butcher 35 chickens a few months ago.   He kept thanking me for helping.  I laughingly said it might be a useful skill to have if the zombie apocalypse happened (I had never butchered chickens before).  His buddy looks at me and says "well we're all preppers."  I look at my father-in-law and and he sheepishly smiles.  Me "oohh that's cool." and continue ripping chicken guts out.  Awkward I thought he was just trying to eat healthy by raising his own chickens.

He now has 3 meat goats in his backyard.

A savvy prepper would have pack goats instead of meat goats, so they can haul around your freeze dried food, and then when that runs out you can still eat them.

They'd be pretty tough by then so you'd need to make jerky.

How do you prep that last thing

Provo may be the new capital city

Fun Mormon fact:  They are all preppers due to some rule that they should have a yearish? supply of food.  House listings in Utah often advertise "cold storage".  It's usually just a concrete room in the basement but for food storage instead of a tornado shelter or whatever.  They cram the rooms full of canned food, bags of wheat, etc.  Lots of prepper stores around too.  One near my office has an underground bunker you can buy sitting in the parking lot.

Since Hillary has been on the scene, has the doomsday clock been moved back?   Na, hell no, since she's been in the Senate and SOS, it's been moved up.

What I would do for my family is not bounded by ethics.  Also, not even sure if ethics as we know them would continue in an apocalypse.

If trump was elected, they would have to do a daylight savings on that clock.  Fall back.  Just to have room to then advance as far forward as that clusterfuck would take us without crossing midnight.
