I think beer snobs appreciate adjunct lagers for what they are. Just don't argue over which one is better.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

speaking of true beer snobs, has anyone ever visited beerrate.com? I came across it looking for a random beer I had at a bar and my god what a bunch of insufferable douchebags.

Are they "cold beer was invented by american brewers to sell crappy beer" guys?

I actually meant "ratebeer.com". Here's the beer I was trying to find and the reviews:

http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/grand-teton-coming-home-holiday-ale-2011/158568/

Here's an example of someone who I don't think I could enjoy having a beer with:

Quote
750ml bottle from Wine and Cheese Place poured into a Chimay Trappist glass. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a minimal bit of white head. Aroma of wheat and coriander with a little sugar. Taste is medium sweet. Loads of Belgian sugar and coriander with some nice citrus flavor. Full bodied with a thick and creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long sweet finish. Overall, this is great. Wish I would have bought a second bottle to age.

Never tried Land Shark.  "Red Stripe Light" actually sounds pretty good for outdoor drinking.

Hey, SD, have you ever had Samichlaus Beer?  It's an Austrian Lager.  They sell it at some place in Omaha.  I guess it's the strongest lager beer in the world.  I imagine it is gross, but I really want to try it.
http://www.thedigichick.com/forums/images/smilies/impatient.gif

They sell it at the Lauter Tun, if that helps.

hmmm, that place is on my way to/from work.  may stop and give a report.  place is weird when not night time though.  like, you stop for a drink after work and they look at you like they aren't open and you should go away because they don't want to serve anyone until the band gets there.  beer menu is on ipads they pass out at the bar.  they will close soon.

lol, that was a fantastic review.
Yes, wow, I did not expect that.  Was worth the wait.

the most recent quad bourbon barrel or whatever...disgusting.  bro-in-law sent it to me because it was the new thing or whatever and it was all I had in me to even gut the whole bottle.  woof.

Alpine Spring is kinda weird.  A nice citrus taste upfront, followed by nice hops.  Then it just just stops.  Not a bad flavor at all, just strange how there is like zero after taste.

Welp...looks like Boulevard screwed the pooch.

Apparently all the bottles shipped to Lawrence were from the bad batches...including the 4 in my fridge.   :shakesfist:
