We played Fort Scott in the playoffs my Sr year (first playoff appearance in 25 years!) and we got steamrolled by those huge hayseeds. Every one of them was twice our size and roided out on cow farm milk or something.

Besides JC and salina central, I think that was the only true western KS team I ever played

Going to the kck schools was the worst. The facilities were third worldish, the fans would yell death threats at us, and Wyandotte high is near some factory that makes the whole area smell like farts

He was a very good player at that level, but I'm not sure I'd say dominant. I still don't think he was more talented than Roberson.

If Hubener could have carried the ball 17 times per game and averaged 4.9 ypc, we would have won 10 games last year.

If JE16 is still playing at a 7-5 level as a senior Thompson will get an opportunity if he is any good.  He will play next season for sure as Ertz still hasn't played an entire game in his college career.
