Hays is 4A-1 now and they moved down to that level Delton's SR year. I don't believe quality of competition in HS is holding him back at all FWIW. Delton is fine IMO.

I'm glad we are having this discussion; Ertz, Delton, and Thompson is a solidly talented trio of QBs to have IMO.

I agree with _fan. There's a lot to be excited about with our depth at QB. Even Hubs isn't absolute garbage for a walk-on QB. He's had some nice moments, but I just think the bad out weigh the good.

Not totally relevant, but a while back an angry 'tater called into the postgame show to tell Walters that the program was slipping because we didn't have enough kids from western Kansas. Those kids "built" the program. Angry 'tater was from Dighton.

True story, western ks has beef with eastern ks schools. It's actually a thing. I interviewed a few coaches who would say stuff like "we get to take a shot at the city kids" whenever they'd meet up with a Wichita or a Topeka school.

No. If that was really the case, he would've dominated in D2. He was not more talented than Roberson at all.

Yes.

In 6A, the most western "eastern school" is Lawrence Free State and soon they will probably be a western school too.

Also, 5A and 6A finally put all teams in the playoffs. Teams are seeded 1-16 in the east and west for each class. Its about time.
