I've covered many shitty Garden City and Dodge City teams in the past. I guess I just don't think much of them. Although, I think GC is pretty good this year. I guess covering western ks football has jaded me a bit.
You're kidding, right? They're playing down several times. Scott, Abilene, valley center, wamego? They have to play down several classifications.

True story, western ks has beef with eastern ks schools. It's actually a thing. I interviewed a few coaches who would say stuff like "we get to take a shot at the city kids" whenever they'd meet up with a Wichita or Topeka school.
Also, "western Kansas", when it comes to 5A/6A football, is anything west of Topeka. Pete's own Seaman Vikings are the most western school in either class. (Also the #2 seed in the east this year!)
Sams would have equaled or eclipsed Roberson if he were allowed to play as much as Roberson did as a sophomore. He was more talented and less rapey.
