Walker isn't starting either..

Technically he might start since it says "or"

Guessing he means Sutton, and not that one of our coaches will not redshirt? No idea

Walker isn't starting either..

sorry, yeah, wrote this over lunch. i meant sutton, and kellis tweeted walker would start. snyder said it in the presser even though he's listed as an "or" with wood on the depth chart.

Did a little examining and we have nine cc transfer players on the two deep, three are starters, and Settles and Price will probably see the field a decent amount. I'd also not be surprised if Dozier sees the field.

Is this normal, less than usual, or more than usual when it comes to K-State playing CC transfers?

Dozier isn't a CC transfer.  He's a grad transfer fro Cal.

Historically, it's probably about average.

Recently, it's probably higher than usual.

My apologies, you are correct. So only eight CC players on the two deep.

Talked to some people at Fort Osage this weekend. They said Skylar Thompson thinks he (referring to himself) is by far the best QB that K-State has. Said that if he knew the playbook better he would be the starter.

The LHC Bill Snyder playbook will go down in history as the Dallas motel room of the program.

Part of me wants to pull his redshirt, but part of me thinks it would be a huge waste if there's a chance he can get a full 4 years under a better coaching staff.

If he only knows 25% of the playbook and we were to pull his redshirt, I don't think he would do any worse than Jeffy Ertz did on Saturday. My dead grandma can audible into a -1 yard qb draw.

Yeah. I guess the odds of Currie actually hiring a competent staff to replace Bill are low enough that we should probably just pull the redshirt. If he's even an average Big 12 QB, we could win this crappy conference.

I hope he is better than what we saw this week.  But it won't matter who they put in there if we keep calling plays like that.  And how much of the playbook do you need to know if you only run 4 different plays?  I am tired of hearing about how big the playbook is.  Maybe shorten the damn playbook and play the players that are the best and not the ones that can memorize 1000 different plays even though we only run a few.

Is Skylar racist towards Skylar with that coded "Playbook knowledge" dig?  Disgusting.

Part of me thinks the whole "not knowing the playbook" thing is what they train him to say. The coaches also make these kids believe they don't know the playbook.

Sounds like skylar thinks he knows more than the coaches.  Not sure we need that kind if attitude to start creeping into this program.  Would rather have kids who want to do it the right way.

Pretty arrogant considering the company he's in.

I like that in a quarterback.

Just remember out there we're all on the same team.

Well, that's scary considering our passing offense consists of nothing but go routes, apparently.

"The playbook" could be a great costume for a halloween party at KSU.  Even better if you crashed the party as nobody would know you well enough.

Guys, I have a pretty great idea.  We need to dump the coaches, adopt the Madden 2016 playbook, and have a Madden tourney with the champ being the new head coach.  Only requirement?  Have to play as the wildwildcats in the tourney.

The coaches probably make like 10 copies of each sheet in the playbook and those they don't want to play get that stack handed to them

I would hope he would think he's the best quarterback, what a complete waste of time if he didn't.

I can confidently say that I would not be the best QB at KSU right now.

Just had a mental image of KK under center and I laughed so hard that I think I need to have hernia surgery.
