I personally hate the wildcat, but I heard Pringle was running it in practice and the fact he also has an arm makes it more viable than with Jones running it. It sounds like he is a serious playmaker and they want to get the ball into his hands. No idea if they would bring in Delton to run it if he isn't the #1 qb. On that note, I would say there is a very good chance as it stands right now that it will be Ertz back there against Stanford. Coaches won't say publicly, but behind closed doors they have a good idea who the starter will be. Since Ertz is currently #1, I'd guess that is who they are thinking. Ertz is the best passer(consistency/accuracy) of the 3 and can run the ball, Delton is the best runner/most elusive(compared to Bishop/Ell) and can pass but lacks some consistency, and Hubes is the smartest qb to ever play at state(at least under Snyder). They say he understands situations and the playbook better than any previous or current qb. He just lacks in the accuracy and some physical attributes. I've also heard he looks better in practice but nerves get the best of him in games. After what happened last year with injuries, Snyder wants as many reps for all 3 as possible.
I have yet to hear anything great about the defense. Limited observations, but all anyone can seem to remember is that nobody in the secondary could cover Pringle and it was him scoring touchdowns all day. I've heard nothing about either line or the linebackers.
