What am I missing here?  Why would KU's athletic department want to lose up to $3 million in ticket revenue?

to funnel to players, nobody else missed it

You really think KU needs missing ticket revenue to funnel money to players?  Good grief.
Doug Compton ain't going to live forever, you know.

There are hundreds of Doug Compton's who contribute to KU's athletic department.  Compton is just the local guy who still lives in Lawrence.

The best part of the whole thing was when Lew walked up and said we were the victim, and then looked into the camera and went  :gocho: .  Best in the biz, folks.  Imagine what Baylor could have been today if Lew was down there for all their issues.

It's about plausible deniability Ben . . . this was a strictly a cash business, making it much easier funnel money and much for anyone to track.

Rich White Kid Redshirts . . . who can account if Rich White Kid Redshirt "loans" Sherron Collins $300 bucks.

Who can account if Roger Morningstar goes back to the safe and pulls out a wad of cash for Brady to go "distribute".

Who can account for Mario Chalmers stopping buy the house and getting some walking money from dad, that he "loans" to some of his team mates.

Damn . . . this isn't hard.

Compton is the "go to" guy for funneling money to players via their parents, and this scheme provides an alternative source of funding for the day that Doug Compton can no longer do that.

Yet all you're doing is speculating.  Anyone with an anti-KU agenda can dream up a bunch of crap that may or may not have happened.

But it's not speculation that a current players dad (who is also a booster) took part in the criminal activities :dunno:

No dumbass . . . you're trying to paint a picture that this $hit couldn't happen.   ku has set up a perfect system to make it extremely easy to do it . . . the rich white kid system goes all the way back to Larry Brown and ku's JV team . . . full of rich white kids, some of who didn't even make their high school basketball teams.

Anyone without a pro-KU agenda can see this for what it really is. I would react in the exact same way if this news came out about any other school, especially one with a recent national championship. If this news were about K-State, I would probably react about like you have. Don't worry though. The NCAA won't do anything to poor KU.

NCAA  KU

Just sit back,  :bwpopcorn:, and enjoy the show.

I kind of admire Ben in a way.  Sure, the FBI is all over this thing, but he's still assuming that nothing bad happened and that all is well.

Be strong, Benjamin, be strong.

I don't know if anything's going to happen to KU, but the whole Pump and Run money/recruiting feedback loop is about to crash and burn. When that gets pried open is when this thing gets really interesting.

Up to $3 million in face value ticket revenue went untaxed.  That's one main reason why the FBI is involved.

That will be even more embarrassing.  Not that there was involvement, but that we got gems like Tyrel Reed, Morningstar, and Releford while guys like Gilbert Arenas, Channing Fry,Udonis Haslem, and Jordan Farmar went elsewhere.
