I don't think D has a drinking problem. Like, if he chilled at home with his family at night and had a few pops, there'd probably be no negative consequences. On the other hand, drinking or otherwise, bad things seems to happen when he makes his late night outings in a small college town's bar district, of which he fancies himself a local celebrity.

If I was that rehab's Reverend Drew, Phd, I'd have him knock off the social media at this stage.

Maybe it's not even rehab and they just re-purposed their gpc minute studio and bought that sculpture at a yard sale and are doing these tweets to imply he's in rehab for PR and/or legal purposes.

OT: The way that pic is cut off, I like to think the sculpture hand is giving him the bird.

I don't think you can lump them all together. But it is a very savvy pr move. Regardless of having addiction or not, there is a lot that can be learned in 12 step meetings and rehab. Not using drugs is only a small part of 12 step programs. It's about a lifestyle change.
