only bring very disgusting snacks to work

Sd was being funny but this is actually the best advice. Don't give your dumb monkey brain access to delicious sugar and sodium and it will give up and move on to something else. Like cigarettes or gambling.

Puni, that's about the same amount of food I keep in my house. Do you get any work done, or do you just chomp on sardines and dentyne ice all day?

this drawer is only for emergencies (except for the gum which i chomp on all day)

like, if your office loses power for days and you're all locked in because the doors are electronic and all the windows are shatter-proof? How would you decide who you share your 'dines with? Or, would you not tell anyone and try to eat them in secret?

hmm. pretty much everyone knows i have a cache of supplies. honestly i dont think anybody here has enough will to live to share these sardines with me.

the emergency i am envisioning is more like forgetting my breakfast or lunch or if i accidentally hacked a lunch with too few energy units and need some more sustenance to get me through the day.

exactly. you have to really really really need a snack to unzip that sardine pouch and squeeze it into your mouth.

buy five cans of tuna, a loaf of bread, a bottle of mustard and a bag of pretzels. this is your lunch. replace the cans of tuna at the start of every work week. replace the other items as needed. BLAMO

a good way to cut back on too much snacking is to not snack.  it's called self-control.  how hungry do you have to be before you build yourself a drawer of snacks at your office?

good God- it's been 2 hours since i housed that triple quarter pounder.  I AM STARVING AND WON'T EAT AGAIN FOR 3 HOURS.  HOW???!!!

There are psychology studies that indicate that humans only have a certain amount of self control. For instance, if you stop smoking you're more likely to eat more, or drink more, etc. Using this logic, the best way to diet is to start smoking.
