Criticism has rained down on Weber with each dismissal and transfer, but he said he did not notice any of it. When fans approach him around Manhattan, he said, he is greeted with handshakes and thank yous from strangers telling him to keep up the good work. He said many have told him he runs the program with integrity.Read more here: http://www.kansascity.com/sports/college/big-12/kansas-state/article19276332.html#storylink=cpy

With all of the turmoil, there is a segment of the Wildcat fan base upset with Weber and the direction of the program. He is aware of the discontent but paints a positive picture from his interaction with people he has met face-to-face.“I think there’s a lot of restlessness but there’s a lot of positive, too,” he said. “People appreciate if you hold people accountable to do it the right way.“I’m sure there’s people who go on the Internet, the opinion people that are faceless. Come to Catbacker events or come to the game and ask me a question. Don’t go faceless on the Internet. I’ve had lots and lots of positive feedback because people believe in K-State and the way it should be done.”
Opportunity exists for anyone who steps into what is now a sparkly, yet sparse, practice facility. Just five scholarship players are still around, waking up early several days a week for 6:30 a.m. workouts.“It’s a great opportunity,” Weber said. “One dad called me and said, ‘Keep kicking ’em off. My son will start.’ ”
“I was flying out of Kansas City,” Weber said, “and even the guy looking at my license said, ‘Good job, Coach.’ So people like it when you hold people accountable and do it the right way.”
It's time to be loud, time to be rowdy. Go cats!

question for the combo fans. how can you go to our football games and support what really matters most to currie, if he doesn't support what matters to you? it's quite the conundrum.
