May I suggest Mike Duncan (who did the History of Rome) podcast? His entire podcast for the French Revolution is pretty damn good. All the set up episodes as well provide fantastic context

Can I just listen to the Les Mis soundtrack like five times instead?

Seriously, I picked up my copy again this week and I'm going to do it. Starting back in with the trial. I think the pieces are going to fall into place for me.

Been on a Stephen King tear lately. The Shining, 11/22/63 and now halfway through Pet Semetary. I'm not sure when my dad tendencies to read historical and/or more high brow crap kicks in, but it certainly hasn't yet.

I have books like A Tale of Two Cities in my to-read stack but I just keep reaching for stuff that isn't that mentally taxing to get thru.

I love A Tale of Two Cities, but it took me a 10 hour flight for me to get into it. Doubt I would have been able to dive in if a TV or laptop was around.

Just finished it this afternoon. Wish I would have read it sooner.

Hard back box set is so hot. I was gifted the paper backs 1-6 in the 2nd grade and went with my sister to the midnight release of deathly hallows book that summer.

One of the kids brought home _The Underground Railroad_ by Colson Whitehead. I'm about halfway through. It is a gutwrenching read so far. Also have _The Nickel Boys_ in the to-read stack.
