I super imposed Hays and Topeka on this map to help those of you still struggling.



One COULD make an argument that eastern KS should start at Manhattan but i would argue that once you get west of Topeka tall grass prairie takes over and trees become scarce.

I know where Salinas is. I've lived here my whole life minus one year. west of Salinas is west. its not geographical. it just is what it is.
