DJamer has really become a formidable player in his injury season.

it's not impossible that we could be competitive. but who rough ridin' cares.
exactly

I can't not care.

Honestly, the OOD was fine this year in the Big 12. Texas Southern, Georgia, and 1 road win were the tough part.

yeah. the myth of DJamer the dominate big has been my favorite thing to listen to over the past couple of months. he's a regular johnny kaw/johnny applesee/paul bunyon.

yeah me either. i guess when i say "who cares" i mean more that to me there isn't that much difference between a "non-competitive" 8-22 and "competitive" 15-15.

There's a huge difference in the "does oscar get fired?" sweepstakes.

No way in hell oscar gets fired next year, no matter how the team does.  They can 0-fer in conference play and oscar will be back.

I wasn't suggesting that you should. I'm just saying that there are different levels of bad, and it will take a special level for oscar to be fired next year. Also, it's definitely a possibility that he gets fired next year, regardless of Chingon's incredible meltdown. Quite a few more tucks turned on oscar after this year than I thought possible. He bought himself a little leeway with them by kicking Foster off the team (which was most likely a decision by JC, but I'm sure oscar will take credit for it if he can get some goodwill out of the deal), but even most tucks don't want to go back to the Wooly days.

im the same but next year is going to push the limits on that. its like a great grandmother on her death bed, do i want her to die? no way in hell. but of course i dont want her to be in pain anymore either. we are in a lose/lose situation here boys and i dont want to watch it happen

I mean what do you expect with the egos he had that refused to work hard. At least he'll have the right type of attitude next year.

Yup, I mean oscar hasn't really had a bad year yet.

Year 1: Won the conference (Great Year)
Year 2: Betrayed by Angel, had to overcome losing pg, but still gutted it out and ended up in the top half of the conference (Great Year [considering the circumstances])
Year 3: Betrayed by Foster and his terrible attitude which lead to team mutiny of sorts (mulligan, not his fault)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 great years and a pass, who would fire a coach after that?

Year 4: oscar cleans house, fills roster with "right fits" and while not as many W's materialize as wanted the team is playing the right way
year 5: The team catches some good breaks and makes the NIT (improvement!)
Year 6: Just plain bad luck guys, key transfer or injury derails what would have surely been an NCAA tournament appearance (mulligan)
Year 7: Everything lines up just right and we snag a 12 seed, but get bounced in the first round (extension)

oscar needs some time to lay the foundation. you don't build this thing correctly by taking shortcuts.

Ftr, it hasn't had much change from frank and company (aka his assistants), just shittier players leaving.  :dunno: Wally, Sutton, & change... Good, but not great. Next year is the bottom tho!
eff, I just forgot I started the foster thread. :buh-bye:

Don't feel bad, Pullen and Foster had more in common than you realized

Neither one will play for oscar Weber.

He can't be blamed for a kid who gets distracted by his handlers.  He had to run the bad influences off and start from scratch.

anyone who went to a game this season should be ashamed of themselves for supporting this pile of crap program in any way.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.
