Latest - As of Friday Texas was PAC-10 bound, but NOW "seriously considering" the Big-12 staying together. If they could get SEC-level money ($17 mil) AND have their own network...have their cake and eat it to.

There is a chance Aggies to the SEC could happen anyways with the Big-12 option.

Blame Game - Texas could say they did all they could do after considering the Big-12 option

Everything is moving way too fast.

Legislative hearings on Wednesday to try and slow things down.

Cultural differences - Aggies feel their are more Ag-type schools in the SEC; it would make them the top research school in the SEC; good regional fit; good financials...BUT bad academic standards. Chip said Alabama has lower standards than all 12 of the Big-12 schools. Texas (specifically Powers) would fit in rubbing elbows with Stanford and Cal academically.
