Hey, I understand why you'd question me, zacker.  But I'm going to be at KSU for more than a semester, and I'll be getting a degree from there. I already really like Manhattan, and I'm hoping that I'll end up loving it. I like KU and I don't bear any ill will towards them except for the occasional tardish fan, and I realize that may not sit well with some of you. But I will be wearing purple and rooting for EMAW when KSU plays KU from now on (however long that lasts).

Big East = dying urban expanse, crappy italian food, appalachin hillibillies (like nebraska but drunk on "shine"), fat italians, mean people, lake effect, hokey attractions with colonial themes, numerous old people, and generally crappy weather

No way Notre Dame moves their Football team to a subpar football conference like the Big East.  Their TV revenue would be cut by over half if they did that.  I assume they'll join the Big 10 and then move their hoops there.  I wouldn't be surprised if they jumped to the Big 10 in a couple of years though.  They could move in a much shorter span than a current conference team could and they could keep their fat solo TV contract for a little longer.

The Big East deal isn't going to be as good as you think....and will likely dissolve as well.

First, the Big 10 is going to take some combination of Cuse, Rutgers and Pittsburgh.  

Second, the ACC and/or SEC are going to go after the others.


There will be no football Big East teams left to form a football conference.
