Who is having the best day: The Big East. Yes, the Big East. With Nebraska seemingly headed to the Big Ten, that hastens the breakup of the Big 12. Where do the castoffs end up? Try the mortally wounded Big East. Think of a nine-team Big East that would include Connecticut, Louisville, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Kansas, Kansas State, Baylor and Iowa State. Is this a BCA league or not? With the collapse of the Big 12 taking away a BCS spot, how could it not be?

Kind of what I've been thinking.

honest to god though. that would require kstate, ku, iowa state and baylor getting together and coming up with some sort of smart plan or something. does anybody honestly see this happening? be honest with yourselves.

this.  It would behoove KSU if it told KU "Hey, Lew, go get this sh*t done and get us BOTH the best deal."  I mean, Lew would prolly f us in the A, but it would be our only shot.  the lack of leadership, focus, and "one voice" is why the big 12 leftovers (and really why the Big 12 as a conference had no longevity) have no shot and it's every school for itself.

I like the guy who has shown he'll get things done, no matter how shady or underhanded or off the books it is.  That's the guy we need working for us, because that's they guy KU has working for them.

also, IIRC, when Weefer and Weiser were sobbing at the "they'll never love you like we loved you" press conference, Krause was the only one that wasn't crying and was actually talking about moving forward.

The 4-5 schools would most likely put someone in charge from the outside to negotiate moving as a large unit. Or, the other conference would speak with each school individually. Lots of ways this could go.

The KMAN interview was embarrassing yesterday.

I've heard from too many people at this point connected to the AD that are repeating the same line "Don't believe the rumors because they're all just rumors" and "We're working to save the Big XII" to believe that more of the energy is going toward trying to futilely resuscitate a carcass than actually going out and doing what Texas and Nebraska have been doing for months, brokering cut throat, backroom deals in the best interest of K-State.

These people don’t get it.  They really don't.
