Assuming the Big 10 does screw Mizzou, wonder if the SEC would try to make a move to bring on Memphis, Mizzou, and the Kansas schools, and have them play in the SEC West with the Mississippi schools, Arkansas, and LSU. It would be an instant substantial upgrade to their basketball profile, and it would be a decent geographic outlay.

Unfortunately, SEC really wants UNC, FSU, and Clemson, I believe.  Still, if the opportunity to expand west presented itself, maybe they'd take it.

Hey Tom . . . want to sit up in the visitor AD Suite . . . fine.   The going rate for a single game rental of a suite that size is $10K, plus it seats 10 people, so that'll be 10x$85 for tickets, food and drink service starts at $450 and you can find per item charges on the menu right there . . . parking pass is $35 dollars.

Well the Big 10 and University of Chicago have the CIC . . .     But those things depend a lot of things. 

People keep quoting that the CIC gives all the big 10 schools 100 million dollars per year in grants, and that new Big 10 members would get the same. But the CIC doesn't award anything, the 100 million dollars is money awarded to CIC schools from NIH, NASA, NSF and various other government agencies. So Nebraska joining doesn't guarantee anymore money in and of itself. NU would have join in on projects that were then awarded grants from the government.

Especially if BITB is right and they're going to get out of the conference without paying anything.  We have Texas and OSU at home this fall, too.  Great opportunity to milk the richest schools in the Big 12 and get some of that alimony they're trying to avoid.

Still a long shot, but like Dax has said, the ACC just inked a good television deal with ESPN. So those teams might not want to leave, so the SEC does look out west.
