They're all such incredible dumbasses, the vast majority of them don't have the first clue as to how this works.   There are some PROJECTIONS that the SEC network might ultimately mean about $32 milliion per school.    That covers Tier I, II, III.   Most of them also don't get that in the Big 12, the $20 million dollar number only covers Tier I and Tier II, and of course doesn't cover bowl and NCAA money.

A USA Today guy said while back that he thought the SEC would peak at $34 million dollars for everything, media, bowl, NCAA, before the college football playoff kicks in.

Most sane people agree that the SEC SEC SEC fans are way over estimating what the SEC network will bring in.

is it just me or does the big 12 inaction and self aggrandizement really bother anyone else?  I mean UT is pissed about Clemson?  I don't know the academic rankings enough, but I find Clemson to be just as appealing, it not more so than TCU and on par with WVU.  Not only that the benefits of FSU outweigh any negatives of Clemson.  Further adding those 3 sets the conference up so much better for long term health by creating a legitimate path to an east division.  I just see too many good points and not enough negatives, however unlikely, to counter.

The ACC coming to GOR agreement is huge.  I think the SEC and Big 10 needed 16 to make help their T3 network. 

Out of all this realignment BS, it looks like the Big 12 will come out the strongest with 10 teams and Tier 3 ownership.  Not to mention we have the Champions Bowl and 4-team playoff in the near future to up the profits.

It won't replace a shitty bowl, it replaces the Fiesta Bowl.  With the Fiesta Bowl, we got the same payout as the other power conferences for our top level bowl.  With the Sugar Bowl we will get $40MM in TV money, which is the same as the Rose.  There will be some value in the Big12/SEC owning the game, but I don't think anyone knows what that will be.  We are basically contracting with the Sugar to put on the bowl, but I don't think it's public what we are paying those people to put on the bowl.

In the new bowl playoff system the SEC and BigTen are better off than the Big12, ACC, and Pac-12 because each of them are guaranteed an extra $30MM 3 of the 12 years when their 2nd place team plays in the Orange Bowl.
