the masses probably get it by reading and then believing articles like this... possibly the most delusional article ever written? 2009 1-7 in conference ku, considered a football power by phog.net senior writers.

Dan Lykins (Board of Regents member) is still stating that KU and KSU will stick together no matter what.

I think KU and KSU are stronger with one set of Regents governing them and have one strong position i.e. KU AND KSU WILL STICK TOGETHER....all the other big 12 schools have individual Regents goverening them and so 10 schools have 10 different Regents that delute their power....the state of Kansas is the only state that only has one Board of Regents to govern all of our state schools...we govern KU, KSU, WSU, ESU, FHSU and PSU..plus we also coordinate Washburn and all state Community Colleges and Tech Schools...our state is very unique in having ONE VOICE for education..and one voice for our 6 Athletic Dept's...............(I think Nebraska will stay in the big 12)....

This really sucks, because I was starting to warm up to the idea that KU was going to get left out simply on their own merits.

There is nothing holding the two programs together. The BOR has no say. If KU wants to go to the Big 10 the only thing stopping them is the Big 10 even knowing who they are.
