Boise staying in the MWC.  MWC and Big East now both will have 11 FB schools next year.  An ESPN "source" says SDSU wants to leave the Big East and rejoin the MWC, but the MWC may not take them back.  SDSU was the first to leave for the Big East.  The MWC wants to be at 12 by 2014.  For #12 they are going to look at taking back SDSU in addition to looking at Houston, SMU, Tulsa, and UTEP.

This is true. The MWC is paying $3 mil of the $5 mil BSU owes the BE for the exit fee, and SDSU should just be able to say "see ya later BE" free of charge.

It looks like the Catholic 7 are going to make a lot more money in their new league.  Fox is going to change Speed to a new Fox Sports 1, and they supposedly have offered a 12Y, $500MM contract.  That's $41.66MM per year before NCAA tournament money.  They are going invite 3-to-5 new schools, but those schools are going to make less than half of the Catholic 7.  They are going to be able to do this because schools in the A-10 (Dayton, Butler, Saint Joseph's Saint Louis, and Xavier) only make $400,000 per year and will be happy to make quadruple their TV money. 

For a conservative example say they add 5 teams and pay the new 5 members a 1/2 share, which is higher than current reports.  Even if they give them a 1/2 share, that's still $4.39MM per year per Catholic 7 school before NCAA money.  That $4.39MM goes up if they only invite 3 teams and/or give them less than a 1/2 share. Reports vary on what they currently make, but the highest I've seen is $1.6MM per year before NCAA money.  That's a big jump for them.  (Sorry Pete).

Yea, bet those schools wish they had started a program way back when it was sorta affordable to do so. Kinda like I wish we'd have paid the crap out of recruits when it was legal so that maybe we'd be a "name school".
