Pretty sure I'm in the minority here (but what's new??) I like playing the Clones every year, and I wouldn't want to do that to them.

They are the appendix of the Big 12.  We won't voluntarily remove them, but if they become a pain, we will remove them if necessary.

Their only purpose in 15 years of conference play has been to knock Okie State out of national title contention and to reminisce about Hilton Magic.  So they're like Baylor but with less RG3s and basketball team murdering themselves.

Makes sense right?  Essentially each conference has two sub divisions.  Play everyone in division plus cross-rivalry.  Would work great in Big 12.  Still have a conference championship...but both teams in conference championship still gets to go to playoffs.

the Conference championship games become part of the playoff system. 8 teams going for 4 AQ spots. 2 teams get in as at large and have to play the 2 worst AQ teams.

I think you swap Miami for  Louisville and you have something.  Telling ND they will have a marquee game in FL every year could be a nice selling point.  I am sure the TV people would rather have the U as well.  Put the Cardinal back out side the window, lol.

I'm going to need a breakdown of division for each potential superconference, with configurations for 10,12,14 and 16 teams.

First by geography, by TV market, then by ratio of grads vs t-shirt fans (alternatively tucks vs non-tucks), then by awesomeness of jerseys and helmets.

Then crossreference this with basketball prowess and attractiveness of fans and/or stadium setting.

I'd rather have this posted here than in Excel or CSV format.  PDF is a no-go, that crap's annoying.

The "pledge of allegiance" was Eric Barron's idea. I'm not one of Mr. Barron's confidants, he didn't consult me or ask my opinion, but it's clear to me that FSU has decided that if they can't be in the SEC then the best place for them is to stay at home in the ACC.

I think that the above makes sense....I think FSU is going to hold out in the ACC until the bitter end, because they can and because the SEC doesn't want them.

I have confirmed that at least two ACC schools have offers from the Big 10. One of those schools is Georgia Tech and the other one is waiting on Georgia Tech's decision.

Who rough ridin' knows if the above is accurate, but you'd have to think that GT would be attractive to the big 10 if you believe that their past selections are indicative of what they will do next (i.e. TV sets).


Losing GT and BC, for example, to the big 10 might not damage the ACC enough to pry FSU loose.   The SEC following suit and plucking two more away just might.  I root for this.

Great for FSU if they want to stay.  However, I think it will damage them in the long run.  They are already in the hole financially.  Their athletic programs will go downhill, and guys like Jimbo will leave for greener pastures.  FSU will take the Miami path as a has-been, with no way to crawl out of the ashes. 

Also, FSU is super butthurt that the SEC does not want them and staying is likely an ego thing.  I bet if the Big 12 extended an invite to Miami or Louisville right now they would bail the ACC in a heartbeat.
