Protip: FSU is actually a higher ranked school in the 2013 US News and World Report rankings than Kansas.  So do Oklahoma and fellow AAU member Iowa State.

KSU also gained a net ten spots this year on KU in said rankings.

There were rumors in the last round of AAU voting, when NU got kicked out and Syracuse resigned, that KU was in danger of losing the designation.

So, if the Big Ten really wants to get serious about academics, they'd invite UVA and GT, and they'd call it day.

If there is any truth at all to the FSU and Clemson rumors, I just don't see how KU leaving could be seen as anything but a good thing. The conference would lose nothing in terms of tv sets, and we would be immensely improving our football product.

Saw something earlier about Louisville maybe being one vote short. 

“Given the way the conversations have gone to this point, either Louisville will be approved for an invitation (Wednesday) or nobody will be approved for an invitation,” one ACC source said. “Any other result would be a major surprise.”

Someone tweeted about how the Big 10 will look at Va Tech, Georiga Tech, UNC, KU and Notre Dame and then invite two. I lol'ed when I read it because it makes it sound like the Big 10 thinks Notre Dame has just been sitting and waiting for their invite this whole time. Good grief.
