Whats so funny is that we are looking at adding FSU and Clemson and most on this board keep thinking that it's a homerun to get them.  I will stand by my previous statement, ONLY nd moves the needle.  Adding FSU and Clemson will NOT significantly (if at all) increase our revenue.   I'm still hopeful Dodds will fight tooth and nail to ONLY expand if that expansion includes nd.  Adding TCU and WVU was stupid but likely necessary to save the conference (that's a pretty hilarious statement to be making).   I'm sure if we could go back, TCU would not be a school we would even let sniff our soiled jocks.

I don't understand why they want everything on this board to be in one thread either. Here it is again:

It's time to quit worrying about who is coming and who is not.  The more interesting development by far is the bowl situation. 

I can guarantee the Pac12 and big 10 are going to drag their feet. When talks break down over how the new 4 team playoffs should work they will decide to go back to the old bowl system and play in the Rose Bowl. Let the polls determine the national champion.

What do the Big XII and SEC do at that point? Start playoffs with everybody else? Almost certainly we'll just play our Champions bowl. And then after one or two years of that, the Rose Bowlers will say: "Oh hey, Champions Bowl, how about we play one more game with the winners of our bowls?"

Then it gets fun. That's when the NCAA blows up. Because that would violate NCAA rules and there is no way the ACC, Big East, or any other D1 teams can stand for that. 

When the four power conferences are not in the NCAA, they won't be subject to NCAA rules.  All new rules. Players will get paid "stipends". Recruiting rules will be relaxed. There will be a whole new basketball tournament.  The works. This is happening.

None of that is contingent upon Notre Dame or Florida State or anybody else joining our conference. Anybody not in when the music stops is toast. And the music stopped last Friday.

There are some "ifs" involved with UM, but you want to talk about ND "moving the needle",  UM does.  So does FSU.  Those are schools that people around the country tune in to watch.  Those are both schools that add significant value to tier 1/2 negotiations. 

New/tamed UP and reasonable short term NCAA sanctions and there isn't a "realistic" school other then ND and FSU I would rather add. 

Not to mention UM is an addition that would likely entice ND to some degree.  Would you rather bring in UM or PITT/BYU (may still take one any way)?
