Air Force AD is making a calculation that the Big East has a better chance of keeping AQ than the MWC of getting it.  Obviously they would get pounded in the Big 12.  Not worried about travel since I think they have good access to airplanes?

Slive really wants ACC teams, but has to settle.  SEC wants TV sets, but their schools don't feel like adding Mizzou enhances their brand. 

MU is still trying to get the Big Ten to open up with a whole lot of, "No, denied."

Big 12 has reached out to WVU.

What is the legitimacy of this blog? Is this just a WVU guy who is shirt tuckin his way to the SEC, or is it actually something reliable?

Key point to remember: The Big East cannot simply add football-only members and maintain FBS conference status with the NCAA.

An FBS conference must have 8 full FBS members, who play in the conference for 6 men's and 8 women's sports including FB, MBB, and WBB.

If this is true adding AF as a football only school does nothing for them at all.

I went back and looked at the timeline for A&M, and they were voted in a week after they 'defected' from the Big 12.

My guess is that Missouri is waiting for the SEC to vote to give them an offer 'silently', then they'll withdrawl, and then the SEC will officially vote them in.

Of course, I'm still not 100% convinced they'll get an offer.

I think it makes decent sense for the SEC given they now know they are going to have a really tough time getting an ACC school.  It's really just MU or WVU at this point.  It makes zero sense for MU though.  Just absurd.  Plus, if the Big10 ever does go to 14/16 they will have missed the boat (unless they can get out of their SEC deal easily).  I still hold out hope that MU is still bluffing like dumbasses to interest the Big10 and will ultimately turn down the SEC but I don't see the SEC not offering MU.
