Dude, TCU is spending $100 million on their football stadium right now, they've got a huge indoor facility, and they spent a huge chunk of change on their football complex, their facilities blow away Houston.

They just won the Rose Bowl and accepted an AQ bid last year.  TCU and BYU are 1A and 1B for promotion from non-AQ status.

I really don't think we'll stop at TCU even if Mizzou decides to stay.  BYU has been pretty vocal about joining the Big 12, but they might also want us to bring in Boise St (Idaho has a large Mormon population as well).

BYU is in no position to demand anything. It doesn't make sense to add them if we also have to add BSU.

Why not?  They are doing fine as an Independent.  

Nobody has reported anything about BYU wanting to take Boise State with them, much less demand it as a condition of joining the Big 12.

BYU went indy because Utah went to the Pac-12.  They had to stay somewhat equal.

If we extend an offer, they'll take it.  This was Boren's doing.  If we go to twelve, BYU is team #11.

So we create the end game scenario that OU and UT want, even though the rest of the league wants to go to 12.  We now leave the rest of the league with no bargaining power over OU and UT.  That makes sense.
