They were in the Big East for a while, but football only. A-10 in everything else. In the mid 00s they basically got kicked to the MAC in football.

Biggest college football upset of all time was when Temple beat Virginia Tech in 1998 (the year before VT played in the NC).

Also on Temple football, they were a terrible BCS team, probably one of the worst during their time. I did attend all 3 Snyder drubbings of the Owls.

My guess is that if it wasn't SU then it would have to be either ND or Texas as they would be the only other two programs who might have known this was coming. I'll be curious to see how that all gets reconciled. The people with whom I spoke today were all just as flummoxed as I am about who leaked it and that is what they have been trying to figure out all day. The working theory seems to be that it may have been Texas by way of ESPN - who would have been informed by the ACC of their intentions as a matter of contractual obligation.

Question: So, are we all in agreement that Texas did do this and they did it to "scare" the Pac X into expanding right meow.

Kansas Board of Regents to discuss realignment Thursday



Ed McKechnie, chairman of the Kansas Board of Regents, said Monday night that the board has added conference realignment to its agenda Thursday.

The meeting, which will be held in executive sessions with officials from both KU and K-State present, is roughly scheduled for noon but the time could change, he said. The Big 12 and legal options will be discussed.

"I remain confident the Big 12 will survive," McKechnie said. "In 10 years, I think Nebraska and Colorado will look back and regret leaving. The Big 12 has a bright future and a lot more to offer as a sum than its parts.

"I am confident and hopeful that in the end everyone will talk and find a way to put this all back together.

"There are a lot of options out there, and I'm willing to listen.

"As long as five schools remain committed, the Big 12 will exist. We are confident that will happen. We expect everybody to live up to their obligations and honor the contracts they have signed."
