Not bad.  I think people should be more pissed.  It just makes me sad that everyone accepts as the rules for engaging with the topic an assumption that the core values driving this are profit and tv markets and that those are acceptable premises for the discussion.  Why are those not disgusting, repulsive premises?  Even if an outright rejection makes you seem naive, doesn't that at all impact the substance of the discussion.

And Mack Brown of all people is one of the few who said anything about the travel, even if he couched it in concern for the family's of the players and not fans, it seems to me that this should be the central issue.

The only reason college football is important is because of fan interest, and yet fans fall immediately in to this sort of sheep like passive engagement with something that they profess to care about?  It burns me up.

I've been waiting for someone to stand up and say something like this.  Like, it doesn't help when Mike Cheefesasfdasky stands up and basically says "hey, times change, tough sh*t everyone who isn't in power".  Mostly everyone is just scared and the coaches/adminstrators don't want to look like fools when they stand up and give a "mad as hell" rant and then the next day their school leaves.  It's a herd mentality.  

First off, it was good on Mack.  I like him anyways, but that was good.

But, it didn't really cost Mack anything given his position.  I have a hard time imagining even someone else getting shitcanned for speaking out on it.  it would just make the ad/president look really craven and awful.  It is a pretty nice move, really.  If they do leave, its like, what could Mack really do?

I honestly would not like to see them completely homeless if there were some legal battle, but they deserve criticism and condemnation to their faces and their band's incredibly ridiculous halftime performance booed throughout.  Booing their band of merry little fascists would be excellent.
