If it's true, it's great news. I just couldn't imagine a school applying without getting some kind of confirmation that it was going to get in.

Well, there could be a little COLUSION. If the ACC takes WVU, it would bolster a horrible football conference and plug in a really nice basketball program. Academically, yeah, they take a hit, but they make sense.

Rutgers may get a "thanks but no thanks" because they may end up being Big Ten #14 if Notre Dame gets thrown into the Big Ten.

My proposed pods:

Pod 1: Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Arkansas
Pod 2: Texas A&M, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State
Pod 3: Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Vanderbilt
Pod 4: South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Auburn

You can switch some of those up based on competitive balance if you'd like.

How is that horrible news? Because it negates what little crap conference hope we had with a Big-12/Big East losery mash-up? Because it somehow opens the door for KU to get in somewhere but not K-State?
