So, like, what is better? Losery Big east or losery Mt West? Will losery big east still have 87 basketball teams and 6 football teams when this all shakes out.

The losery Big East is now 4 teams (and that is including WV who is almost certianly gone)

BYU and Baylor have a pretty significant problem, and that problem is religious affiliation.

Well their problem is that they are religious institutions out in the West, and the one solvent conference out there has a very strong stance against religious schools.

Unless the SEC or Big Ten is willing to fly people to Salt Lake, they will essentially be out of luck.

Losery Big East including all the basketball only schools is the only thing that I think can keep us competitive in basketball. I think we will get screwed on football regardless.

well, the losery Big East would have games in Texas and Florida. Much better situation overall. Even if you don't care about AQ.
