...when the President of UT, Deloss and their VP's came to see Boren, they pretty much got the cold shoulder.  I
saw a friend of mine this weekend who is a [really important dude] at Devon Energy, you know,the company who is building the new 70 story sky scraper going up in Downtown OKC.  Devon is a huge benefactor of OU. We were all talking about it, and name redacted said "we are gone, trust me." Boren told the president of UT, that"we should have settled this last summer and he is not going to go through this each and every year. We will find stability." He would like to go to a conference with UT, but from what name said, he[Boren] was very blunt about going without them and even dropping the RRR if we had to. The UT people were shocked by the reception, and OU is not going to budge.

It is looking more and more like the Pac-X is going to be the big loser in this.  Sure they might get OU but if UT/TT go to ACC  they wont have any TX footprint. Although maybe they will be better off at 14 than the ACC at 16.

First of all, it is evidence that OU is bluffing. If they wanted to leave, they would have left like Cuse and Pitt did (and NU and CU last year).

Secondly, it makes UT to the ACC much less likely. who do they go with? KU? Tech? Please.

Third, (and this is huge a stretch), Cuse and Pitt may have left due to a lack of attractive expansion options for the Big East (KU, KSU, MU).

He's in Pasadena, but he just told Ketch that the ACC looks to be off the table because Texas wants to bring Texas Tech, and the ACC is not on board with that.

So, looks like focus is on the Pac 12.

He says that the ACC will announce on Sunday that they are adding/inviting Pittsburgh and Syracuse.
