Were any of them Texans? Because if you live(d) down there you knew their fans were dead rough ridin' serious about the SEC the entire time. Once Slive started making eyes at them last year, there became such a wave of momentum to leave that any poke at the structure of the Big 12 would've sent a tidal wave straight at the A&M Administration. Once the LHN stuff materialized, there was no turning back.

Once R. Bowen Loftin started making rumblings of leaving, it was all over. Nobody gave a damn about what their AD Bill Byrne said, but Loftin basically sealed the deal.  I think A&M would've bluffed if they didn't have a fanbase that literally would've lynched them if they'd backed off.

No, they are bluffing but have gone to far.  they are stuck now.  the fact that they continually remind TX that they are leaving confirms that they don't want to, but will.  they will have to.  maybe that's not a bluff, what's that thing I just described called?
