Not sure how the remaining pac schools are going to continue paying their current coaching contracts out beyond this season.  Stanford has more money than god, if they choose to use it on athletics but the other three are broke AF already.  MWC even if it doubles the payout with 4 new members would only be 6M a year in revenue per team

I’m completely sympathetic towards OSU and I am working on the mental hurdle of FKSUP Schulz. Trying to remind myself that he was the initial driving force behind making BSFS a more impressive looking facility starting with the WSC. 

But right now I just feel very bad for OSU and wish they could be a part of the B12.

Yeah, from a fan standpoint my gut aches for OSU and Wazzu, the beginning and many parts of this very thread was imagining being exactly where they are and we made it through, the Big 12 was left for dead twice, and here we are.

Stanford and Cal will always be fine due to academics, OSU and Wazzu can't say that, what an absolutely shitty and horrible week it's been for them and will continue to be unless we throw them a lifeline or if/when the ACC rips apart they join that or something. The utter who knows for them has to feel horrible.

IF IF IF FSU uses their private equity money and of the Saudis are interested when they inevitably lift their skirt to them and they get the literal 9 figures they need to break their GOR agreement, they are absolutely not going to the SEC. They don't want them and even if they did, ESPN isn't going to pay 3x the rights fees for something they already own. If Florida State leaves they're most likely going to be independent. However, I can't emphasize this enough, they aren't doing crap.

I remember watching an OSU game last season after USC and UCLA announced they were leaving for the Big 10 and they had just torn down a concourse as a part of their renovation and I was like, "oh no that's a bad idea." I hate being right!

So ngl I was typing out something earlier today about having some concern about the big 10. I honestly think they're starting to spread themselves too thin. Like not saying they'll even consider a two tier, or even kicking members out. But that article to me hints at the potential long term, where these bloated conferences finally slim down and face reality. Though honestly everyone loves upsets and the underdog. Idk what truly the long term is but if it's only the blue bloods, I think it'll be just a disastrous as what we see rn. Trying to only have the historic programs be it will fully kill the sport and it'll collapse upon itself

Steve, sorry for the late response, but I been busy watching podcasts and tweeter(X).  IIRC, around 2015 when Bob Bowlsby got several G% schools to apply for admittance in the Big XII they got the copy rights to Big 16, 18, & 20.  It keeps the big 10 from changing their number from 10.
