As tempting as it is to make ASU and Utah sweat a bit, probably a good business decision to lock them down ASAP. Time to sell is when you've got a buyer.

The reality is that ASU and Utah are on par with or better than anyone who will be leftover after the Big Ten/SEC pick apart the ACC (Boston College, Louisville, NC State, Pitt, Wake Forest, etc.).

So, scoop them up now.

The people acting like this is unprecdented are kind of amazing.

While the volume of change in the modern financial era of college athletics might at the highest point ever, but in the last 30 years. One power conference completely dissolved, the SWC. Another high level conference with multiple power conference level programs lost every single one of those power conference level programs-The Big East.

The same could be said for the Mountain West.

Why do people hate on the pac-12’s daddy Utah so much? We are the overachieving conference that cares more about sports than school, they fit us perfectly. What the eff has Louisville or Pitt done? They’ll probably be more competitive than Washington.

yeah, don't disagree here. I think it's just rough ridin' with people on twitter. the fact that they have spicy people on twitter means they are probably a good addition (as you point out).

I realize Cal and Stanford would probably never lower themselves to join our conference because of nerd stuff. But I would LOVE to bring on the last 4 and go to an even 20. We could combine our manliness and tough as nails testosterone stuff with their brains and really do something. I know it won't happen but just thinking about it.
