There is a rumor going around that we'll look for BYU and UConn as football only.  I don't buy it.

I can see UConn offering to take next to nothing for FB only and taking a hit to broker a deal with the networks.  A rumor around Tulsa is UConn would like out of the AAC no matter what and is exploring ways to get basketball back into the Big East.  That would include finding a place for FB, even if it's in the MAC making nothing.

If the schools we add are the ones that will make ou and ut stick around then it does not matter who they are. I would love to see some kind of alignment with the PAC 12 in the long run as well

If power 5 alignments become a reality. Big 12 and Big 10 alignment would be a more realistic scenario.

Attendance at the Houston/Cincy game was 40,015, FWIW.  I thought it looked bigger than that on TV.

That was an entertaining game to watch. We could definitely do worse than Cinci and UH for conference additions.
