The conference would get at least $30M in increased revenue per school, IIRC, for the duration of the contract.  The less we pay them the more the rest of us keep.  So, if we pay them all 5, we keep 10, right?  ((30-5)*4)/10)

Dimel lands one kid out of the Houston area every other year and suddenly that's vital territory for K-State. All of the 3* prospects we might have a chance to land are already staying at home to play for a G5 school. I mean, it's probably better that Houston get invited. Texas kids can shoot down our offers quicker, then we can turn around and give it to some 5-heart. Everybody wins

that is imo the best reason why the big 12 continues to dick around with expansion.  While we may be down a bit on "blue bloods" we never have a shortage of entertaining games between ranked teams and there really is no reason for our prime inventory to be valued at 70% of the average

Swaim was having a meltdown that BYU would be excluded from the Big 12 b/c of "LBGT pressure."  I started quoting his tweets w/the appropriate amount of mocking.  He deleted all the ones I quoted so it can't be seen what I was mocking, and then tweeted something about having been hacked and then deleted that very tweet.
