Better long-term play for MU is the Big East.  It keeps them flexible for the big 10 should they call, and if not, it's a football conference that they can potentially dominate.

Or they can just go get gobbled up and become irrelevant in the SEC with a media rights contract that's already basically outdated and will now be reduced because of increasing teams.  

Either or.

Texas talent is going to go all over the place without one centralized conference.  Pipelines will still be leveraged.  If anything, being more competitive in the Big East and being on TV all of the time will probably be better for us than going to Texas and getting creamed every year.

Blocked by South Carolina. Same goes for FSU vis a vis Florida and Georgia Tech with the Bulldogs.

Universities in general are starting to just seem real dumb. Like...I care about college football because it's fun. But I don't care enough/ have enough ego to purposely try to negatively affect a neighboring community of thousands of people.

Well Dan Wetzel, from my quick count we only have about 12 non juco Texans on our roster and of those I'm not sure if several of them will be any good. So I imagine we'll be about the same about of suck as we are now.
