We're getting Houston, simply because no one in the Big XII wants to piss off Texas. With them we have a chance of keeping Texas in the conference when the GOR ends.

With you guys discussing ratings like this, I forsee a college football wherein the games are scripted, the outcomes and highlights all predetermined, in order to gain the largest viewership possible.

Look for the GOR to be extended as long as OU and TX get whoever they want in expansion.

FWIW, a friend of mine in CO tells me that Colorado State has a large and enthusiastic fan base in the state, mainly because it is the main university for in-state students. He told me that CU has a disproportionate number of out-of-state students (including a lot of CA students who go to CU for the chowder and blow), making their fan support in-state relatively lame. Just thought that was some interesting insight.

Almost all of Colorado is made up of transplants. I don't know anyone that is legitimately a CSU fan. And I know 3-4 CSU grads. Correct about the CU student population though.

One of the RHOC sons went to CU and I bet a lot of his douchebag OC friends went there too. So that's obviously a solid data point on CU being transplants.

The biggest CU fan I know was born and raised in Needham, MA and went right back there after his four years at CU were done.

Most CU grads I work with graduated from HS in another state; no kidding. We joke that CU is where rich out-of-state kids go to look poor.

It's a fact that there are more CSU alums that live in Colorado than CU alums.

I'm absolutely 100% in belief that LGBT people should have the right to everything afforded to the straight community. I also dislike the mentality of "we want everyone to be able to live life how they want as long as we agree to it". BYU is a private university and if they want to have small minded practices in place, that is their right and although I don't agree with it, it's their prerogative. If they start trying to impose their beliefs on other institutions, then I'll have a problem

I agree. That's also why I believe BYU should get zero accommodations for their Sunday travel concerns. That is their rough ridin' problem.

Yea, I don't see why all of the sudden people are scrutinizing other schools' honor codes. Everyone who went to that school signed up to abide by it and no one who didn't sign up for it is expected to comply with it.

Wouldn't they be football only? Or are they seriously talking about full membership?
