Right "in theory".Good lord.Honestly, I really DO believe that everything along the lines of expansion was waiting on Notre Dame. So, if anything is ever going to happen, I see it happening soon, simply because no one is "waiting for Notre Dame" any longer.

It's not a Grant of Rights... just a buyout. there is no differenceIf that is the case, and lets say a few ACC teams are unhappy....why would they sign a $50 mill buyout? Does adding ND dilute the payout per team even more?Doesn't a GOR last throughout the time of the TV Contract? $50 mill is much less than 13 years x $20+ mill. It's easy to make $50 mill turn into $25mil.All this aside, I like 10 teams. I like it even more if adding FSU and Clemson doesn't increase revenue. a GOR is just a way to calculate the figure. you can negotiate it down the same way you could a buyout....maybe easier since it wouldn't be required to be paid out up front.

So, at this point, if I was in charge, I'd make a reactionary, vengeful push to get FSU and G-Tech. And if that doesn't happen, stay at 10 until something else happens. Right?

One ACC official told the Orlando Sentinel the upped exit fee goes into effect "immediately."When pressured further about whether that meant anytime this academic year or sometime next summer, the official responded: immediately, as in "today."
Wednesday's exit fee move mostly affects schools like Florida State and Clemson. All summer, the two athletic departments tried to fight rumors that had them being courted by and showing interest in the Big 12 Conference. Bloggers and other digital media had the two schools all but gone from the ACC, even despite the conference renegotiating its television deal with ESPN for nearly $20 million per school per year.
In the existing ACC schools didn't agree to and sign anything
