Still think that Bowlsby and Dodds think they can get ND, and that caused some slowdown.

I think that if merely Dodds thought that he could get them and was forceful about this, then Bowlsby had to at least pump the breaks and give the impression that he gave Dodds a chance.  Bowlsby cannot flatly say "no" to Dodds.

I don't know.  Of all the things that "The Dude" has reported, the one piece that I actually believe is the total mumped up disagreeable state on whether/how to expand amongst the schools.

Okay, but that's gets overblown by people like the Tigerboard respects (one example) who want to paint a picture that the only conference that has internal disagreements is the Big 12 and all the other major conferences are nothing but internal mutual admiration societies.   

But we've already seen the BiG/Pac-12 alliance blow up months after it was started, and there's plenty of snipping inside the SEC about the 14 team scheduling .

Neither the SEC nor the Big 12 give even one crap about "drawing first blood"...just a stupid comment.  The Big 12 wants FSU and will go after them if they can get a consensus and otherwise keep the UND door open.  The Big 12 would do that regardless and without consideration of what the SEC may or may not do.

First blood was drawn years ago by MU and the Big 10.  idiots

I was under the impression the NCAA made the CCG provision for minor sports to minimize travel costs and the SEC in '91 saw it as a way to increase revenue at a time they were behind Big 10 and ACC.
