Actually, that might not be fair, as this team is currently ranked below Wooly's last 4 teams. (although tonight's results may give us a positive bump)

on the list of losses to get mad about, this one should rank near the bottom.

the WVU home loss was worse, the Texas Tech road loss was worse, the Texas home loss was worse, and every game in non-con was worse (except for Arizona). they had a 15% chance to win before the game, an 85% chance to win late in the game, and they choked - in large part because their best player is suspended.

k-state is, what, the seventh or eighth most talented team in the league? maybe worse without foster?

are you guys really expecting to win as 11-point underdogs on the road against a team coming off a disastrous loss without your best player with a far inferior team and a lesser coach?

Guys, maybe my expectations are now so low, but I kinda watched that game and left thinking "good effort guys". I'm in a sad, depressing place with this team. I definitely thought we'd find a way to lose the game after taking the lead late. I definitely wasn't surprised that our team was clearly gassed and tired by the end of the game. All of that was in my mind, but I still left feeling kind of good. JFC.

I do feel bad for the players tonight for the first time all season. I think they did play hard, they're just not set up to succeed.

The idea that this team is devoid of talent is crap (with an active Foster/ Malek). With what was lost and what was coming back a 7-10 seed in the NCAA and a top 4 finish in the conference was completely within reason.

For a variety of reasons this team has played well under expectations.
