I cut down 1.5 dead trees in the windbreak and hauled them all back to the house using this cute little cart.

The key is to cut up all the wood in the morning when it's cooler then you can just drink beer and chill and stack up/move all the wood wearing more comfortable clothes in the afternoon.

XT next birthday should feature a cake of the rankest bull he ever rode.

That would have been John McDonald's X26 Switchblade.  Was lucky enough to draw him in Eskridge.  Had no idea John was bringing bulls when I entered.

The pipeline company called.  Apparently, they want to cover their gas line thru the farm.  Exposed in the creek bottom.

Most likely will come in on each side of the creek and lower it quite a bit.  It will take them forever.  They've had to do that to a few lines around here.

Spent memorial day weekend down at my lady friends "farm" in mid mo. Her dad was a successful #BusinessMan and when he retired he bought an old church camp about 2 hrs southeast of KC and is building a new house to connect to the old building.

Her family calls it the "farm" but its actually old strip pits and wooded land with maybe 20 acres of cropland he leases for a butchered cow every year. It's basically deer hunting and fishing land with no "farming" going on so I refuse to call it their "farm" and just call it by the name of the small town next to it.

They do have 2 cats they picked up from the local Amish/Mennonite population so maybe they are just getting started on their cat ranching days.

Here is the barn/garage that some Amish people threw up in a day a couple of years ago. (Thats how they ended up getting some free cats)

(Basically the only picture I took because I was too busy fishing)

Took a week off between jobs and decided to spend it out at the cat ranch with my dad.

The 6 kittens I mentioned earlier in this thread are somehow still alive.

It's pretty green out here but there is no water in the "North fork" of the Solomon River.

Luckily the @eromatic windmill from along time ago keeps pumping like a champ and giving those cows the sweet sweet water they need.

(It actually got serviced like 2 years ago and the windmill guy was like "yeah, just keep it oiled up and it should be Good")

Hey Ben ji, what happens if the water overflows the two cattle tanks in the picture?

Uh, well it just flows over into another pool that is full of toads/frogs and if that pool gets to high it joins the "river".

Yeah that's awful. Poor cows have terrible distances between their legs make for strong step voltages. Rancher just unlucky, sucks.

I was in the large power business for over 30 years and I can tell you the longer the distance between steps the less electrical charge between them.  File this under the electrical safety things you should know.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.
