Will have to post as construction progresses.  Not the lotto but a nice revenue stream to hasten my early retirement.  

I didn't realize how far off the deep end some people go when it comes to wind farms.  They tend to bring underlying mental issues to the surface, so as a bonus my crazy/jealous neighbors now hate me.

My dad has been out on the farm for the past week making sure no trespassers get the pheasant before me (he saw two this weekend just walking around)

Anyways looks like the cats have been eating more than usual with this cold weather.

Probably not, he treated a kitten for a bad case of ringworm at some point but I'm guessing that was topical. His birthday is on Friday so I'll bring some with me as his present.

No progress today, just sleet and snow.

Have some high school friends in south central kansas losing their minds over windmills. FB feed got to be too much and muted them.

I don't really get the windmill hate. Is it because they think it ruins the scenery? Jealous they are not getting phat wind turbine checks and others are? Afraid of new things?

Just seems like a weird thing to get bent out of shape about. Our farm is sandwiched between two rows of windmills and in the 48 hours I've spent out there since they put them up they have already blended into the scenery.

I saw a ton of anti-wind farm signs in Neosho county a few months ago.  My parents live in Allen and if there's any anti-wind people there, they seem less vocal.

I'm a huge proponent of windmill energy and windmills in general but to play devils advocate there is absolutely no way I would live close to a bunch of them. Have you driven by like Spearville, KS at night? (thankfully almost none of you have so let me describe it). Just constant flashing lights all night every night 24/7/365. sometimes you want to just sit outside and listen to the outside noises and look at the stars and get level 7 blasted and not see
