sd, if i buy a ranchette next to your father's land, how many cows could wander over and become my cows before he would notice and how long would it take?

Maybe, like, a couple baby ones? But you’d have to bottle feed them. Or register a brand that could overlay ours that makes it seem like yours.

A picture of 4 of the apple trees (planted with cow manure). The larger trees behind the apple seedlings are pear trees my uncle planted a couple of years ago. There is a water faucet thing by the quisonet building so Im guessing that is where the automatic watering device will connect to.

Also LOL at the "Danger Keep out" sign on the collapsing out building my dad put up sometime in the last year.

You can also see the incinerator (aka 2 steel drums welded together with hatches at top and bottom) that i cleaned out last year when i was trying to do something productive.

Every farm needs a collapsing building.  Fill us in on the quonset with horizontal tin.

Its been there forever and used to be a garage to park cars but now it just holds mowers/atvs and random junk? I dont know why the sides are horizontal and not sloped like a true quonset but its always been called the quonset.

Its also where the fireworks were kept when i was a kid.

they are like half cylinders laid on their side steel buildings.

sd cow farm has a giant quonset building that was built in like the 40s or 50s or some way long time ago time. some guy came through Meade like the monorail guy from the simpsons trying to talk all the cow farmers into having his crew construct these massive buildings for them. sd great grandfather was one of them that bit (there were like 4 total in the county). it's still standing and storing tons of tractors and atvs, and giant oil tanks, and tools, and trailers, and crap. the other 3 are also still there from what I hear. Like, this guy was just some snake oil salesman but actually sold quality snake oil that worked. thing has withstood shitloads of massive storms and giant hail and has never required any meaningful maintenance or repairs. Ours has those giant gymnasium lights in it that take awhile to warm up but when they do it's like daylight in there. when I was a kid I tried to convince sd dad to let me set up a full court basketball court in it with a moveable goal on one end and a permanent one on the far end. he declined.

we have a quonset on our farm, still there.  back in the day they milked cows out of it.  we used it to store hay (therapeutic?) when i was a kid.  now meow meow dad uses it to store extra machinery.  built a lot a hay forts in that thing as a kid, and a lot of inbred cats were born in it.

Tom,

How does your tractor compare to the other ones there? Better paint job? Unique? Better running?

My dad sent an email out today with the title "Improvements" and only this picture attached.

(I blurred out the 3 last names listed before "homestead")
